City of Prescott Water Reservoirs

Granite Mountain MetalWorks performed the certified welding scope on two precast concrete water reservoirs for the City of Prescott. The work tied the precast panels together with welded rebar connections, reinforcing both structures for seismic performance in accordance with municipal and code requirements. Reinforcement used weldable-grade rebar, specified for any rebar required to carry load through welded connections. Over 8,000 individual welds were placed across the reservoirs, each one inspected and documented to certified welding standards for municipal water infrastructure. The completed reservoirs reinforce the City of Prescott's water system with welded rebar connections engineered to hold under seismic load.
